My first birth experience was traumatic for me - a 30-hour posterior labour ending in a forceps delivery with a 3rd degree perineal tear, a stressful public hospital stay and prolonged recovery period. Fortunately the baby was very healthy and in the midst of learning to parent, I pushed the experience to the back of my mind.

SPECIAL EVENT: PROMOTING NORMAL BIRTH SEMINAR Please click here for more information regarding this must do session held on Tuesday 9th December 2008
Nicola, Jennie, Clare & Helen attend ICM conference in Scotland
The conference reinforced that the philosophy underpinning our practice, was backed up by evidence.
That homebirth is a safe & viable option that should be available to women & their families.
That midwives are best placed to support & promote normal birth.
Facilitation of normal birth for women who have had a previous caesarean should be led by midwives through a one to one midwifery model of care.
Spring Picnic 2008 held at Quarries Park, Clifton Hill - huge success!
Midwives Naturally invited past clients to a Spring Picnic on Sunday 12th October. Many families enjoyed the sunshine and wind with us. It was lovely to catch up with them and their gorgeous babies. Here are some photos taken on the day.
